A letter to my mentor, a powherfull leader

A letter to my mentor … because we cannot evolve our identity and our reality without the help of someone to lead us through it. 

I first saw this woman on a FB ad. I actually thought she was someone else, but God led me to click the ad and that's when she entered my life, that was in 2022. Four big beautiful years ago. 

What I've learned about myself, by being in her space, is that there's a difference between style, personal fashion, and showing off....This woman is not a show off, she has made 10s of millions online over 17+ years and STILL records her lives post gym from her car. 

Yes she is rich, beautiful and prophetic. BUT the most beautiful thing about her is how she makes you feel, as though you are her most important client regardless of how much or how little you have paid to be in her space, IF you have even paid at all! She is interested in the conversation, the journey, the investment of YOU more than turning every DM into a sale. 

What I see when I look at her in flip flops, serving a women’s ministry, running around on camera, creating course after course, blog after blog, identity after identity, is a woman who just shows up as the woman she has always been. Never defined by the bank account, the leaders she’s coached or the number of clients she’s worked with. 

She is in the work herself, unravelling, discovering, allowing more of God’s work through her to come through. She KNOWS how to make money, clearly. But more than that she knows who she is and by showing up REAL, in flow, letting the message be the message rather than curated, styled, perfectly edited. She has been instrumental for me to LET GO of performance. To let go of proving, to let go of scarcity. And to grow as my own version of a woman in service, who gets paid to connect with and pull out brilliance from other women. 

This is so important to me because the first few coaches I “got close to” actually had walls up. They “held their boundaries”, “preserved their energy”, “didn’t make themselves available for DMs with unpaid clients.” And that is NOT my vibe. But I didn’t know that you could be a wildly successful coach AND be widely accessible to whoever you wanted (Ya, I had a lot of conditioning to unpack haha). Those first few coaches were building in a way that worked for them, it just didn’t work for me. So this mentor of mine, she helped me see bigger, helped me see more possibilities and broke off all the strategies, algorithms, perfect lil business packages that I was learning about at the start of my coaching journey. 

What if I had not come across that FB Ad? I would still be living in misalignment to my calling, trying to make it fit something it was never going to fit. Because what I want doesn’t really fit the “fancy coach model.”

Turns out I don’t want to quit my job, turns out I want the boutique coaching and podcast business I have, that fits around my life and my job. Turns out I don’t want sensational overnight success, but instead steady, sustainable growth that grows with me. Turns out I actually want to lead my own movement of beautifully called women allowing themselves to have zero rules and limits on how and who they show up as..... Let the heart lead, the truth be given, let the sensationalism burn away in hell..... There's such pure humility in this.... It doesn't mean not making money, but it does mean not making it about money.....And it means making it work for YOU, not for what the internet is trying to sell you. 

So - who are you in the most unconditioned version of self, business, money, message? What is your biggest vision? As a whole woman? 

When you just know who you are regardless of any outcomes or results, you stay anchored in your truest identity. You don't need external evidence to prove it or validate it to you. However, external evidence does start to become apparent. The way you feel starts to be lighter, the way you pray starts to be harder and more often, the way you love is more open but still prioritized of your energy, and the way you take care of your body is honoring, is self-respecting, is appreciative. Do you think THAT STATE OF BEING will also lead to big money? Ha - of freaking course it will, it can’t not. Money wants to be in that space, God wants to increase you so you can impact more people, it’s a natural follow on - not the thing being followed……!!!!! Let that sink in for a moment. Money follows you, you do not need to chase after it. Let God steward over what you build and increase it for you. 

THAT is the ROI we should all be striving for as leaders for others. Because YOU are someone else's leader, so make her the cleanest version of YOU that you can.
