Creating results in between real life

I envisioned starting to write this on the couch at 7:30 pm last night - while cooking a late supper, then continuing on around 10 pm…. Instead it's 7:42 am the next day and I have to get ready for work in a hot minute. 

AND THAT’S OK. 

My goal is write a bunch of blogs over the summer and share the day to day with you to show you how a woman with a job, kids and yep - all that laundry!!! - still chooses herself, still makes space, still grows - in between the chores, responsibilities AND the beautiful fun life she truly wants to live. 

Tonight we are camping at a nearby campground (15 mins from home). It's on the beach. We are going to sleep in the car - it's ONE night. We will have pizza for supper and breakfast. This is summer-whimsy. Low key effort and high reward. This is spacious and effective. 

This week I used overtime hours to shorten my work day so I could take my daughter to and from KARATE CAMP. We watched Karate Kid the night before it started to “get ready.” She said that nothing they did was related to the movie haha. This is joy. 

I have been crushing it at work, building (of course!) the service program, and meeting customer service standards. I also made time to meet with two other colleagues to chat and - complain about the people who complain to us - because we need the camaraderie. This is emotionally and mentally filling. 

On Wednesday we missed swim lessons because when we got home Georgia (my daughter) went to her room, crawled into bed and read, then fell asleep - for TWO HOURS. I puttered on and off line and I worked out - because I had a pocket of time and I used it in alignment. This is body care. 

Do you see that there are no perfect conditions EVER among these choices and actions? There is only the choice to either be the woman who does the thing, or be the woman who keeps waiting to do the thing….. 

I chose to stop waiting and start assessing each moment - what is possible now? Who will I be now?

Because THERE ARE A ZILLION DIFFERENT WAYS TO BUILD A LIFE YOU LOVE.

The important thing is to actually BUILD A LIFE YOU LOVE WHILE YOU ARE LIVING IT. 

I've realized that the women who build lives they love don't actually have better circumstances.

They simply become anchored. They know who they are. They know what matters. They stop outsourcing their decisions to everyone else. They become impossible to blow over because their roots go deeper than the latest trend.

I followed too many online personalities selling too much unrelatable content that just didn’t fit my life, my character, and even my goals. I bought someone else’s dream - and when it kept not working, I finally realized the dream I wanted to build was the one I was already living. 

I scaled back on business complexity, I established key relationships and built a massive network of amazing, heart centered women who support each other and I am now simplifying my business even further. Less is MORE Ladies!!! Business, life, fun, none of it needs to be complicated to be fulfilling or effective! 

I used to think growth meant adding MORE.

More programs.

More launches.

More social media.

More pressure.

More time uughhhh.

Now I KNOW growth looks like subtraction. Removing everything that doesn't sound like you. Removing everything that steals your peace. Removing everything that makes success feel heavier than it needs to.

My FAVOURITE Coach & Mentor runs around the internet 99% of the time with a ponytail and  gym clothes, from her car, sauna or other random location, ranting away in Holy Spirit Flow! She has made 10s of millions simply being in flow and on the go.

You don’t need fancy, complicated or more to BUILD, to monetize, to impact.

I am making my life make sense for ME. I am designing my business the way it fits FOR ME - not the way people are selling it to me. 

If you truly want to live a life you love, you have to be grounded in your own vision. And this week I absolutely realized how much of the vision that I tried so hard to build - in all the wrong ways before - has actually come into reality from simplicity, clarity and TRIAL & ERROR haha. Years of it!  

None of it is based on massive monthly revenue, or on 100000s of followers. It's based on my integrity, my capacity (always expanding) and my PEACE as I build something bigger today. 

SISTER, the life you're looking for isn't waiting after your promotion, after your kids get older, or after you finally have more time.

It's waiting inside the decisions you make this week - choosing the beach, choosing the workout, choosing the conversation.

Choosing the dream. Again and again.

That's how ordinary women build extraordinary lives.
