Stop waiting and start building - now!

SISTER!!!!!!!!!!!! I have heard myself saying MULTIPLE times that “this has been the BEST summer since maternity leave”

And of course the response to that is WHY MIA?

Well, lean in because the secret sauce answer is…………..BECAUSE I FREAKING CHOSE DIFFERENT AND TOOK ACTION WITH WHAT I HAVE!!!!

I made use of what is available to me now, instead of waiting for “more” to show up. Amazon doesn’t deliver more time, energy or peace my friend!! But you can find “more” among the mundane, in the job, camps, laundry, biz building, ongoing learning, podcasting, collaborations etc etc. 

My bestie has weeks and weeks of time off, she also has 17 (SEVENTEEN) years at her same workplace. I have 5 years at my current job. She has “more” and she has been taking most of August off for the last 2 years and after watching her do that, I found my own “more” in my resources and organized myself differently this year. 

Y’all its crazy. I have 17 paid vacation days for THE WHOLE YEAR and yet I was able to:

Go to AFRICAAAAA

Visit the in-laws (TWICE)

Take two BIG summer vacations

And ok - sure now the final quarter of 2026 I dont have any vacation left BUT I used it wisely. 

I USED THE LITTLE I HAD WISELY. Ouf. Praise the Lord. He opened my eyes and brain to do more with what I have - instead of waiting for more to arrive at some unknown future place. 

And that has changed everything. I want to see WHAT ELSE I CAN DO with what I have NOW. 

So, babe, my powherfull woman, driven, ambitious, tired, yet tenacious woman!!!!! 

WHO - DO - YOU - BELIEVE - YOURSELF - TO - BE - NOW!!!!!! Because whatever version of you is leading your life is shaping what is available and shaping the identity creating your life. 

So where is your sense of self rooted? 

Is it in your………..

• Relationships

• Bank account

• Body shape and size

• What other people think of you

What if it was in….

• Your natural talents/gifts 

• How you make other people feel

• Accepting how loved you are….

• Knowing what you DO have control over (ahem - its yourself!)

And yet, among all this GLORY of growth, I have found myself “spinning out” much faster and more radically lately.

From 0 to 10090990000 in a blink! 

PANIC! Oh No! Allllllllllllllllllllll the old questions and self concepts come rushing in.

• "Is this really who I am?"

• "Am I being too emotional?"

• "Shouldn't I have this figured out by now?"

• "I'm a life coach. Shouldn't I have it together?"

And you know what is causing those emotional roller coasters? Guess…..

• The circumstances? NOPE. Guess again.

• The people pushing on me!! Yeah, its them not me!!!! ………..

• NOPE GUESS AGAIN!!!!! Oh it's definitely because I am just misunderstood, ya!!!

NO AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S MY OWN GROWTH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahaha!!!!

I am triggering myself as I OUTGROW MY OLD PATTERNS whaaaaaaaaat!!!!! 

The ability to see yourself clearly isn't found by staring harder at the little moment you're currently in.

It's found by zooming out. Which is NOT what I am used to doing!!!!! 

YOUR NEXT LEVEL IDENTITY, which creates the more, comes from seeing the bigger picture while caught in the little moments. 

Because in the little moment, I might be a tired working mom who has too much to do. A woman whose business dreams are literally falling off the side of her desk...or into the laundry hamper. 😂

A solopreneur who wants more income. A woman who wants flexibility, simplicity, personal growth and results.

A woman trying to figure out how to hold motherhood, work, business, relationships, money, health and herself all at the same time.

But from 40,000 feet?

I'm a woman who has been building.

FOR YEARS. 

And that's the perspective I'm learning to live from. I think in coaching they call it…. Finally seeing yourself for who you are and what you are becoming or better yet - have become. Reality catching up to identity, or better yet, identity catching up to reality!!!! 

I know I am a woman who desires flexibility, simplicity and personal growth with RESULTS. And I am seeing those results in “ma” face y’all!!!!  

Like I said, this summer was actually a few years in the making. I have been watching my bestie do it for the last two years, and I finally decided to see what I could do for myself, NOW. 

I stopped waiting for the circumstances to change. And I CHANGED INSTEAD. 

I stopped thinking  "I guess one day (that damn one day!) I will be able to…..” 

And I started asking:

• What can I make with what I have right now?

• What time IS available?

• What resources ARE available?

• What can I create inside the life I already have?

HOW CAN I MAKE MORE FROM A LITTLE?

And that question is incredibly powerful.

Because the alternative is spending your life WAITINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG for the conditions to become ideal. When all you are doing is wasting time WAITING ON YOURSELF TO SEE IF, TRY IT, DO IT DIFFERENTLY. 

So do you want to spend the rest of 2026 

• Waiting for the kids to need you less?

• Waiting for the business to make more money?

• Waiting for the schedule to open up?

• Waiting for the right season?

• Waiting for Monday to Friday to look different?

• Waiting for life to give you permission?

OR DO YOU WANT TO START BUILDING SOMETHING BIGGER NOW INSIDE THE LIFE YOU ARE ALREADY LIVING. Because my love, You are the change. And more is available now. 

This is exactly the shift I've been growing through myself (clearly!!), and it's at the heart of what we do inside Everyday Woman Awakening.

We stop waiting. We take those dreams down from the shelf. And we work on them.

Little by little. With the time we have. With the energy we have. With the money, skills, relationships, creativity and opportunities we have right now.

Because you don't need a completely different life to begin creating a different life (WELP!!!! Thank you Lord for showing me this!)

You need to learn how to use the life you have differently.

That's what I've been practicing.

And it's changed the way I experience everything.
